1. Hey, Before You Read — A Quick Note From Us 👋
At [i-SmokeStack], we’re not going to hand you a 10-page legal document written in a language only lawyers understand. This Privacy Policy is written like we talk — clear, honest, and human.
We take your privacy seriously, especially because we work with two very different kinds of people: startup founders who trust us with their business, and students & freshers who trust us. Both deserve the same level of respect and protection.
By using our website or any of our services, you agree to what’s written below. If something doesn’t sit right with you, please reach out before you proceed — we’re always happy to talk it through.
2. Who We Are
We are [i-SmokeStack], a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) registered in India, operating under the brand identity of i-SmokeStack, LLP. We help early-stage B2B startups grow smarter — and we mentor students and freshers to become industry-ready through our DoITership programs.
Think of us as your operational support and your career’s first real cheerleader. That’s who we are. That’s why your data stays safe with us.
3. What Data We Collect (And Why)
We only collect what we actually need. No creepy over-collection, no storing things “just in case.” Here’s what we gather:
- Information You Give Us Directly
- Your name, email address, and phone number — when you fill out a contact form, inquiry form, or program application
- Your college name, year of study, or company/startup details — so we can tailor our programs or services to you
- Your LinkedIn or social profile link — if you choose to share it during an application
- Payments are processed through third-party gateways and we do not directly store complete card information.
- Any messages or feedback you send us — through forms, email, or social media
- Information We Collect Automatically
- Your IP address, browser type, and device info — standard stuff collected by most websites
- Pages you visit, time spent, and clicks — via Google Analytics and similar tools, to understand what’s working on our site
- Cookie data — more on this in Section 07
- Information From Third Parties
- If you connect via LinkedIn or Google login (if applicable), we may receive basic profile info as permitted by those platforms
- Referral data — if someone referred you to us, we may note that for our records
- How We Use Your Data
Here’s the honest breakdown of why we collect your information:
- To process your service or DoITership program enrollment and keep things running smoothly
- To send you updates about your application, program, or engagement with us
- To reach out if you’ve expressed interest in working with us
- To improve our website, programs, and services based on how people actually use them
- To comply with legal obligations under Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023
- To send you relevant content, opportunities, or updates — only if you’ve opted in
We do NOT sell your data. That’s not the kind of brand we are.
- Who We Share Your Data With
We don’t hand your data around like a party invitation. We only share what’s necessary, with who needs it, to deliver our services:
- Payment processors (e.g., Razorpay, PayU) — to handle your transactions securely
- Email and communication tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Google Workspace) — to send you program-related updates
- Analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) — to understand site performance
- Legal authorities — only if required by law, court order, or regulatory requirement in India
Any third-party tool we use is chosen carefully and is bound by their own privacy commitments. We don’t share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any random third party.
- How We Store & Protect Your Data
Your data is stored on secure servers with appropriate technical and organizational safeguards. We use industry-standard practices including:
- Access controls — only authorized team members can access your data, and only when needed
- Regular reviews of our data practices to stay compliant and current
We retain your data only for as long as needed to deliver our services or as required by law. Once that period is over, we delete or anonymize it.
- Cookies 🍪
Yes, we use cookies. No, not the chocolate chip kind. Here’s what our cookies actually do:
- Essential cookies — keep the website functioning properly (you can’t opt out of these)
- Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use our site (you can opt out)
- Cookies and campaign tracking
You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings at any time. For a full breakdown, check our Cookie Policy (linked in the footer).
- Your Rights Under India’s DPDP Act, 2023
India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act gives you real rights over your data. Here’s what you’re entitled to:
- Right to Access — ask us what data we hold about you
- Right to Correction — ask us to fix any inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to Erasure — ask us to delete your data (subject to legal obligations)
- Right to Grievance Redressal — raise a complaint if you feel your data rights have been violated
- Right to Nominate — nominate someone to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity
To exercise any of these rights, simply email us at privacy@i-smokestack.com. We’ll respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.
- Children & Minors
Some of our DoITership program participants may be under 18. We take this seriously.
As per the DPDP Act, 2023, we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18 without parental or guardian consent. If you are under 18 and applying to our programs, a parent or guardian should review this policy and provide consent where required.
If we discover we’ve inadvertently collected data from a minor without proper consent, we will delete it immediately.
- Third-Party Links
Our website may link to external platforms — LinkedIn, Instagram, partner sites, and more. Once you click out, their privacy policies apply, not ours. We’re not responsible for how other websites handle your data, so please check their policies before sharing anything with them.
- Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services grow or laws change. When we do, we’ll update the “Last Updated” date at the top. If changes are significant, we’ll let you know via email or a notice on the site.
We’d recommend bookmarking this page and checking back every once in a while — not because we change things often, but because staying informed is always a good look. 😎

- The Deal — What This Document Is
Welcome to i-SmokeStack. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, services, programs, and related offerings. Please read them carefully before using our platform or engaging with our services.
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “You”) and i-SmokeStack, LLP (“We”, “Us”, “[i-SmokeStack]”). By accessing or using our website at https://i-smokestack.com, or by enrolling in any of our services or programs, you agree to these Terms in full.
If you don’t agree with any part of these Terms, that’s okay — but please don’t use our website or services. In such cases, please discontinue use of our website and services.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, the “Last Updated” date changes. Continuing to use our site after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Material updates may be communicated through our website or other appropriate channels.
- Who This Agreement Is For
These Terms apply to everyone who interacts with [i-SmokeStack] — whether you’re:
- A startup founder or business team exploring our B2B growth services
- A student or fresher applying to or enrolled in our DoITership programs
- A casual visitor just browsing our website
- A partner, collaborator, or referral exploring working with us
If you are under 18 years of age, you must have a parent or legal guardian review and accept these Terms on your behalf before using any of our services.
- Our Services — What We Actually Do
At [i-SmokeStack], we operate across two distinct verticals. Here’s what each covers:
- B2B Startup Growth Services
We work with early-stage B2B startups — typically from MVP stage to Series A — helping them:
- Simplify and optimize business processes
- Improve user experience and customer journeys
- Build efficient, scalable workflows
- Support operational improvement, automation workflows, digital systems, and business enablement initiatives
Specific scope, deliverables, and timelines for B2B engagements are defined in separate Service Agreements signed between [i-SmokeStack] and the client. These Terms apply in addition to (not in replacement of) those agreements.
- DoITership Program (Student & Fresher Mentorship)
Our DoITership program is a structured, hands-on learning and mentorship experience designed for college students (1st year to final year) and fresh graduates. Under this vertical:
- Participants (“DoITers”) engage in real-world projects, tasks, and learning modules
- Mentorship, guidance, and feedback are provided by the [i-SmokeStack] team
- Certifications and/or Letters of Recommendation may be issued upon successful program completion
- Stipends, if applicable, are mentioned explicitly at the time of enrollment
Enrollment in any DoITership program is subject to eligibility, selection, and the specific program terms communicated at the time of application.
- General Disclaimer on Outcomes
While we aim to provide meaningful support and value through our services and programs, we do not guarantee specific business outcomes, revenue growth, employment opportunities, placements, certifications, or career results. Outcomes depend on multiple external and individual factors beyond our control, including user participation, market conditions, implementation quality, and independent decision-making.
- Fees, Payments & Billing
Some of our services and programs are paid. Here’s how that works:
- B2B Services
- Fees for startup growth services are agreed upon in the individual Service Agreement
- Invoices are raised as per the payment schedule defined in that agreement
- Late payments may attract a penalty as specified in the Service Agreement
- All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise agreed in writing
- DoITership Programs
- Program fees (if applicable) are clearly communicated during the application process
- Payment must be completed before the program start date unless a specific arrangement is made in writing
- Fees once paid are non-transferable to another individual
- Payment Processing
All online payments are processed through secure, third-party payment gateways (such as Razorpay or similar). We do not store your card or banking details on our servers. By making a payment, you also agree to the payment gateway’s terms of service.
- Refunds & Cancellations
We have a dedicated Refund & Cancellation Policy (Page 4 of our policy set). Please refer to that document for the complete details.
In summary:
- B2B service refunds are governed by the individual Service Agreement
- DoITership program refunds are subject to the timeline and conditions in our Refund Policy
- No refunds are issued after significant program milestones have been delivered
Users are encouraged to review all applicable policies and clarify any questions before making a payment.
- User Responsibilities
By accessing or using our website, services, or programs, you agree to the following responsibilities and acceptable use conditions:
- Provide accurate, truthful, and up-to-date information in all forms, applications, and communications
- Use our website and services only for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our systems, data, or accounts
- Not copy, reproduce, scrape, or distribute our content without written permission
- Not impersonate [i-SmokeStack] or any of our team members
- Not use our platform to send unsolicited communications, spam, or promotional material
- Maintain the confidentiality of any access credentials we may share with you
- Treat fellow DoITers, founders, and team members with respect — in line with our i-POSITIVE culture code
Violation of these Terms may result in suspension or termination of access to our services, with or without prior notice, subject to applicable policies and agreements.
- Intellectual Property
Everything on this website — the copy, the design, the brand elements, the frameworks, the methodologies, the logos, and all original content and proprietary materials — belongs to [i-SmokeStack], LLP.
This includes (but is not limited to):
- The [i-SmokeStack] name, logo, and brand identity
- Trademarks: “Busy-ness into Busi-ness™”, “Do More By Doing Less™”, “DoITers”, “DoIT Fam”, and “DoITership”
- All website content, blog posts, frameworks, templates, and visual assets
- Any methodologies or processes developed and shared as part of our B2B services
You may not use, reproduce, or adapt any of the above without our explicit written permission.
Work Created During DoITership
Any work, deliverables, or outputs created by DoITers during the program as part of [i-SmokeStack] projects are owned by i-SmokeStack, LLP, unless explicitly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement.
Startup clients retain ownership of their own business data and proprietary materials shared with us. Any work product we create specifically for a client is governed by the IP clauses in their individual Service Agreement.
- Confidentiality
Both parties may share sensitive information during our engagement. We take confidentiality seriously — on both sides.
- We will not share your business information, strategies, or data with any third party without your consent
- DoITers may be exposed to internal processes, client information, or proprietary tools during their program — they are expected to maintain strict confidentiality, during and after the program
- Any breach of confidentiality may result in legal action as permissible under Indian law
We work with real startups and real businesses. We expect all parties engaging with us to handle confidential information responsibly and professionally.
- Limitation of Liability
We do everything in our power to deliver genuine value. But here’s the honest legal bit:
- [i-SmokeStack], LLP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our services or website
- We are not liable for outcomes that depend on factors outside our control — including but not limited to market conditions, client execution, or third-party platform issues
- To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the use of our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to i-SmokeStack for the specific service giving rise to the claim during the three (3) months preceding the event.
- We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party websites linked from our site
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.
- DoITership — Specific Terms
Because our student and fresher programs are a big part of who we are, here are the specific rules that apply to the DoITership experience:
- Eligibility
- Open to college students (1st year to final year) and fresh graduates/pass-outs
- Specific eligibility criteria may vary by program batch and will be communicated during applications
- [i-SmokeStack] reserves the right to accept or reject any application at its sole discretion
- Program Conduct
- DoITers are expected to participate actively, meet deadlines, and communicate proactively
- Behavior must align with our i-POSITIVE culture code — positive, respectful, and collaborative
- Plagiarism, dishonesty, or misrepresentation of any kind will result in immediate removal from the program without refund
- Certification
- Certificates and/or Letters of Recommendation are issued only upon successful completion of the program
- “Successful completion” is defined by attendance, quality of output, and conduct — as assessed by the [i-SmokeStack] team
- We reserve the right to withhold certification in cases of policy violation or incomplete participation
- Stipends
- Stipends are not guaranteed for all programs — this will be explicitly stated at enrollment
- Where stipends are offered, payment is subject to satisfactory performance and completion
- Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our services or website at any time, with or without notice, if:
- You violate any of these Terms
- You engage in conduct harmful to [i-SmokeStack], its team, clients, or the DoIT community
- We are required to do so by law
You may also choose to stop using our services at any time. Termination does not automatically entitle you to a refund — please refer to our Refund Policy for the applicable terms.
- Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall be:
- First attempted to be resolved through good-faith discussion between the parties
- If unresolved within 30 days, referred to mediation or arbitration as per the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996
- Subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Faridabad, Haryana, India.
Both parties agree to make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes amicably before initiating formal proceedings. If something’s wrong, come talk to us first.
- Grievance Redressal
In accordance with applicable Indian laws and regulatory requirements, users may contact the following grievance representative regarding concerns or complaints:
Grievance Officer:

- Miscellaneous
Entire Agreement

Severability

- Wait — What Even Is a Cookie? 🤔
Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device when you visit a website. A cookie (in the internet world) is a tiny text file that a website saves on your browser or device when you visit it. It helps the website remember things about you — like whether you’ve visited before, what you clicked on, or what preferences you set.
Think of it like a website’s way of taking a little note: “Oh hey, this person visited yesterday and was looking at our DoITership program.” Cookies help websites function efficiently and improve user experience.
Cookies generally identify browser sessions and device interactions rather than directly identifying individuals, although certain cookies may be associated with personal data depending on how they are used.
- Why Does [i-SmokeStack] Use Cookies?
We use cookies for three honest reasons:
- To make our website work properly — some features literally can’t function without them
- To understand how people use our site — so we can keep making it better
- To show relevant content or ads to people who’ve already shown interest in what we do
We don’t use cookies to spy on you, sell your data, or do anything that would make you feel gross. We do not use cookies for unlawful tracking or unauthorized sale of personal information.
- The Types of Cookies We Use
Here’s the full, transparent breakdown — no hidden items on this menu:
- Essential Cookies
These are the backbone of the website. Without them, things like contact forms, navigation, and basic security don’t work. You can’t opt out of these — but they’re also the most harmless.
- Session management (keeping your form data intact while you fill it out)
- Security tokens (protecting against cross-site request forgery and similar threats)
- Load balancing (making sure the site runs smoothly for everyone)
- Analytics Cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website. This tells us things like:
- Which pages are most popular
- Where visitors come from (search, social, direct)
- How long people spend on different pages
- Where people drop off
This data is generally collected in aggregated or analytics-based form to help us understand website usage and improve user experience.
- Marketing & Retargeting Cookies
Marketing and retargeting technologies may be used to display relevant advertisements to users who have previously interacted with our website or services. We use Meta Pixel and Google Ads tracking to:
- Show relevant ads to people who’ve already expressed interest
- Measure how effective our campaigns are
- Avoid showing you ads for something you’ve already signed up for
You can opt out of these through our cookie banner or through your ad platform settings (Facebook Ad Preferences, Google Ad Settings).
- Preference Cookies
These remember your choices on the site — like language preferences or whether you’ve already dismissed a banner. They make your experience smoother without you having to repeat yourself every visit.
- Cookie Summary Table
Here’s the full picture at a glance:
Cookie Name / Type | Purpose | Duration | Can You Opt Out? |
Essential Cookies | Keep the website functional — forms, navigation, security | Session / Persistent | No (required to use the site) |
Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics) | Understand how visitors use our site — page views, time spent, traffic sources | Up to 2 years | Yes — via browser settings or cookie banner |
Marketing / Retargeting Cookies (Meta Pixel, Google Ads) | Show relevant ads to people who’ve visited our site | Up to 90 days | Yes — via cookie banner or ad platform settings |
Preference Cookies | Remember your settings and choices on the site | Up to 1 year | Yes — via browser settings |
- Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on our site are placed by third-party services we use — not by us directly. These include:
- Google Analytics — for website analytics (governed by Google’s Privacy Policy)
- Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) — for ad retargeting (governed by Meta’s Data Policy)
- Google Ads — for search and display retargeting (governed by Google’s Privacy Policy)
- Razorpay / Payment Gateways — for secure payment processing (governed by their respective policies)
We don’t control these third-party cookies. We encourage you to review their privacy and cookie policies if you’d like to understand how they handle your data.
- How to Control or Delete Cookies
Users can manage or disable cookies through browser and device settings. Here’s how you can manage cookies on your end:
Through Your Browser
All major browsers let you view, manage, and delete cookies. Here’s where to look:
- Google Chrome — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and other site data
- Mozilla Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari — Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Microsoft Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Through Our Cookie Banner
When you first visit our website, you’ll see a cookie consent banner. You can choose which non-essential cookies to accept or reject right there. You can update your preferences at any time by clearing your cookies and revisiting the site.
Through Third-Party Ad Platforms
- Google Ad Settings — https://adssettings.google.com
- Facebook Ad Preferences — https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences
Disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality, performance, or user experience.
- Cookie Consent & the Law
We aim to follow applicable privacy and consent practices relevant to our operations and website usage.
Here’s how we handle consent:
- Non-essential cookies (analytics, marketing, preference) are only activated after you give consent via our cookie banner
- Essential cookies are activated by default as they are necessary for the website to function
- You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your cookies and updating your preferences on your next visit
Where applicable, consent preferences may be recorded and managed through our cookie consent system.
- Changes to This Cookie Policy
As our website evolves and we add new tools or features, our cookie usage may change. When it does, we’ll update this policy and revise the “Last Updated” date at the top.
We’ll notify you of any significant changes via a banner on the site or by email (if you’re in our community). We recommend checking this page occasionally — it’s a short read and worth staying informed.
- Got Questions? Talk to Us.
Cookies making you uncomfortable? Something here that doesn’t make sense? Just ask — we’re always happy to explain.

- Our Promise Before the Policy
At [i-SmokeStack], we never want anyone to feel stuck or unheard — whether you’re a startup founder who signed up for our growth services or a student who enrolled in a DoITership program.
Life happens. Plans change. We get it. This policy exists to make sure both sides — you and us — know exactly what to expect when things don’t go as planned. No fine print surprises, no runaround. Just clarity.
When in doubt, always reach out before cancelling. A quick conversation can often find a better solution than an outright cancellation.
- Scope of This Policy
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to:
- B2B startup growth service engagements with i-SmokeStack, LLP
- DoITership program enrollments (all batches and program types)
- Any other paid program, workshop, or service offered directly under the [i-SmokeStack] brand
This policy applies to the service engagement and enrollment process. Fees are handled separately through our designated platform — if you have questions about a specific transaction, please reach out to us directly.
- B2B Service Engagements — Cancellation & Refund
When a startup or business engages [i-SmokeStack] for growth services, the relationship is governed by a Service Agreement. The following general terms apply unless otherwise specified in that agreement:
- Cancellation Before Kick-Off
If you decide to cancel before the formal project kick-off or onboarding session:
- You are eligible for a full refund of any advance amount paid
- A nominal administrative processing fee may be deducted, if applicable — this will be communicated upfront at the time of engagement
- Cancellation must be communicated in writing via email to privacy@i-smokestack.com
- Cancellation Mid-Engagement
If work has already begun and you wish to exit the engagement:
- A partial refund may be issued based on the proportion of work completed versus total scope
- Work already delivered, reviewed, or approved is considered non-refundable
- The exact refund amount will be calculated transparently and communicated within 7 business days of your cancellation request
- A written cancellation notice of minimum 7 business days is required
- Cancellation After Major Milestones
If significant milestones — such as strategy delivery, UX audits, workflow builds, or key deliverables — have already been completed and shared:
- No refund will be applicable for the work already delivered
- You retain all deliverables and outputs created up to that point
- Any outstanding scope can be formally closed out with a written agreement
- Force Majeure
In the unlikely event that [i-SmokeStack] is unable to deliver services due to circumstances beyond our control (natural disasters, regulatory changes, health emergencies, etc.), we will work with you in good faith to either reschedule, find an alternative, or issue a fair refund based on the situation.
- DoITership Program — Cancellation & Refund
We invest real time, energy, and resources in building every DoITership batch. At the same time, we understand that circumstances change — especially for students and freshers. Here’s our fair framework:
- Cancellation 7 or More Days Before Program Start
- Full refund of the program fee — no questions asked
- Cancellation must be submitted in writing via email to privacy@i-smokestack.com
- Refund will be processed within 7–10 business days of confirmation
- Cancellation 3 to 6 Days Before Program Start
- 50% refund of the program fee
- The remaining 50% covers preparation, onboarding resources, and batch planning already done on our end
- Cancellation must be submitted in writing
- Cancellation Within 48 Hours of Program Start
- No refund applicable
- At this stage, batch resources, mentor time, and program logistics have been fully allocated
- You may, however, request a deferral to the next available batch — subject to availability and approval by the [i-SmokeStack] team
- Cancellation After Program Has Begun
- No refund once the program is underway
- If there are genuine extenuating circumstances (medical emergency, family crisis), please reach out — we will evaluate on a case-by-case basis with empathy
- Partial program completion does not qualify for certification or a Letter of Recommendation
- Removal Due to Policy Violation
If a DoITer is removed from the program due to violation of our Code of Conduct, Terms & Conditions, or i-POSITIVE culture standards:
- No refund will be issued
- The decision to remove a participant rests solely with the [i-SmokeStack] team
- We will always communicate the reason clearly and give an opportunity to respond before a final decision is made
- Deferral Option — A Better Alternative to Cancellation
Before you cancel, consider this: we offer a deferral option for DoITership enrollments. If something comes up and you can’t make it to your registered batch, you may request to defer your enrollment to the next available batch.
- Deferral requests must be submitted at least 3 days before the program start date
- Each enrollment can be deferred a maximum of once
- Deferral is subject to availability in the next batch and approval by [i-SmokeStack]
- No additional fee is charged for an approved deferral
We’d much rather have you in the next batch than lose you entirely from the DoIT Fam. Just talk to us. 🙌
- Quick Reference — Refund Summary Table
Here’s everything at a glance:
Scenario | Cancellation | Refund Eligibility |
B2B Service — cancelled before kick-off | Allowed | Full refund (minus admin fee if applicable) |
B2B Service — cancelled mid-engagement | Allowed with notice | Partial refund based on work completed |
B2B Service — cancelled after major milestones | Allowed | No refund |
DoITership — cancelled 7+ days before start | Allowed | Full refund |
DoITership — cancelled 3–6 days before start | Allowed | 50% refund |
DoITership — cancelled less than 48 hours before start | Allowed | No refund |
DoITership — cancelled after program begins | Allowed | No refund |
Program removed due to policy violation | Not applicable | No refund |
- How to Raise a Cancellation or Refund Request
The process is simple and human — no automated bots, no ticket queues:
- Step 1: Email us at privacy@i-smokestack.com with the subject line: “Cancellation Request — [Your Name / Company Name]”
- Step 2: Include your enrollment or engagement details, the reason for cancellation, and the date of your request
- Step 3: We’ll acknowledge your email within 48 hours
- Step 4: Our team will review and respond with a decision and (if applicable) refund timeline within 5 business days
- Step 5: Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days from the date of approval
We handle every request personally. You’ll always hear from a real human, not a template.
- Non-Refundable Items — Always
Regardless of timing or circumstance, the following are non-refundable:
- Any work already delivered, approved, or accepted as part of a B2B engagement
- Program fees for DoITership batches where the program has already commenced
- Fees for participants removed due to policy or conduct violations
- Administrative or processing fees (if communicated upfront at enrollment)
- Fees for one-time workshops, masterclasses, or events — unless the event is cancelled by [i-SmokeStack]
- If [i-SmokeStack] Cancels
In the rare event that [i-SmokeStack] cancels a program, service, or engagement on our end:
- You will receive a full refund of any fees paid — no deductions
- We will communicate the cancellation with as much advance notice as possible
- We will offer alternatives wherever available — a rescheduled batch, a different program, or a service credit
We take our commitments seriously. A cancellation from our side is extremely rare, and if it ever happens, we’ll make it right. That’s the [i-SmokeStack] way.
- Disputes
If you feel a refund decision was unfair or incorrect, here’s what to do:
- First, reply to our email thread and explain your concern — we genuinely want to resolve it
- If still unresolved, raise a formal grievance via our Grievance Redressal Policy (Page 5 of our policy suite)
- Our Grievance Officer will review and respond within 30 days as per Indian law
We’re not a faceless corporation. If something feels wrong, just tell us. We’d rather fix it than fight about it.
- Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our programs and services evolve. The “Last Updated” date at the top will always reflect the most recent version. For significant changes, we’ll drop a notice on the website or reach out directly if you’re actively enrolled in a program.

- Why This Policy Exists
We’re building [i-SmokeStack] on a foundation of trust — trust from startup founders who share their business challenges with us, and trust from students and freshers who share their career dreams with us. That trust is sacred.
This Grievance Redressal Policy exists because we believe that anyone who interacts with [i-SmokeStack] — in any capacity — deserves a clear, fair, and time-bound way to raise concerns and get them resolved. No ghosting. No brush-offs. No corporate runaround.
This policy is also a legal requirement under India’s Information Technology Act, 2000 (and its rules), and aligns with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023. But beyond compliance, it’s simply the right thing to do.
A grievance isn’t a threat to us. It’s feedback. And at [i-SmokeStack], feedback is how we grow.
- Who Can Raise a Grievance?
This policy is open to anyone who has interacted with [i-SmokeStack] in any official capacity, including:
- Startup founders or business teams engaged in or exploring our B2B growth services
- Students or freshers enrolled in or who have applied to our DoITership programs
- General website visitors whose personal data may have been collected
- Former clients or program participants with unresolved concerns
- Anyone who believes their rights — as a user, client, or data subject — have been violated
- What Qualifies as a Grievance?
A grievance is any concern, complaint, or dispute that you believe has not been adequately addressed through regular communication. This includes:
- Service-Related Grievances
- Dissatisfaction with the quality, scope, or delivery of B2B services
- Missed timelines or deliverables not aligned with agreed terms
- Concerns about how a service engagement was managed or closed
- DoITership Program Grievances
- Concerns about program quality, mentorship, or learning experience
- Disputes regarding certification, Letter of Recommendation, or program completion status
- Issues related to stipend (where applicable) not being honoured as agreed
- Concerns about conduct of any [i-SmokeStack] team member during the program
- Unfair removal or disqualification from a program batch
- Data & Privacy Grievances
- Unauthorized use, sharing, or mishandling of your personal data
- Failure to fulfill a data access, correction, or deletion request
- Concerns about how your data was collected or stored
- Any suspected data breach affecting your personal information
- Refund & Cancellation Grievances
- Refund not processed within the committed timeline
- Refund amount differing from what was communicated or agreed
- Cancellation request not acknowledged or acted upon
- Conduct & Culture Grievances
- Disrespectful, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior by any [i-SmokeStack] team member
- Violation of the i-POSITIVE culture code in any interaction
- Harassment, bias, or unfair treatment of any kind
If you’re unsure whether your concern qualifies — raise it anyway. We’ll figure it out together.
- How to Submit a Grievance
We’ve kept this process as simple and human as possible:
Step 1 — Write to Us
Send an email to privacy@i-smokestack.com with the subject line:
“Grievance — [Your Name] — [Brief Topic]”
Step 2 — Tell Us the Full Story
In your email, please include:
- Your full name and contact details
- Whether you are a B2B client, DoITer, or website user
- A clear description of the issue — what happened, when, and who was involved
- Any supporting documents, screenshots, or evidence (if available)
- What resolution you are seeking
Step 3 — We Acknowledge
You’ll receive an acknowledgement email from us within 48 hours of submission, along with a unique grievance reference number for tracking.
Step 4 — We Investigate
Our Grievance Officer will review your complaint, gather relevant information from internal teams if needed, and assess the situation fairly and objectively.
Step 5 — We Resolve
We will share our findings and proposed resolution with you — typically by Day 20. Final resolution is confirmed within 30 days of receipt of the grievance, as mandated by Indian law.
- Grievance Resolution Timeline
Here’s the full timeline at a glance — so you always know where things stand:
Stage | What Happens | Timeline |
01 — Submission | You email us your grievance with full details | Day 0 |
02 — Acknowledgement | We confirm receipt and assign a reference number | Within 48 hours |
03 — Review | Grievance Officer reviews, investigates, and gathers facts | Days 3–15 |
04 — Response | We share our findings and proposed resolution with you | By Day 20 |
05 — Resolution | Final resolution confirmed and implemented | Within 30 days |
06 — Escalation (if needed) | If unresolved, escalated to senior leadership or legal process | Post Day 30 |
We aim to resolve most grievances well before the 30-day mark. The timeline above is a ceiling, not a target.
- Escalation — When You’re Still Not Satisfied
If your grievance remains unresolved after 30 days, or if you feel the resolution provided is genuinely unfair, you have the right to escalate.
- Internal Escalation
- Request escalation to senior leadership at [i-SmokeStack] by replying to your grievance email thread
- A senior team member will review the case independently and respond within 10 additional business days
- External Escalation — Data Grievances
For grievances related to personal data and privacy, you may escalate to India’s Data Protection Board (once operational under the DPDP Act, 2023):
- The Data Protection Board of India — as constituted under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
- You may also approach the adjudicating authority under the Information Technology Act, 2000
- Legal Recourse
If all internal and regulatory channels are exhausted and you still feel your rights have been violated, you retain the right to pursue legal recourse through appropriate courts in India, as governed by our Terms & Conditions.
We sincerely hope it never gets to this point. Our commitment is to resolve every concern fairly, long before any escalation becomes necessary.
- Our Commitments to You
When you raise a grievance with [i-SmokeStack], here’s what you can always count on:
- Your grievance will be taken seriously — no dismissals, no deflections
- You will be treated with respect throughout the process — regardless of the nature of the complaint
- You will receive timely, honest updates — not silence
- Your complaint will be handled confidentially — only those who need to know will be involved
- There will be zero retaliation — raising a grievance will never affect your engagement, program status, or relationship with us
- Every resolution will be communicated in writing — so there’s always a clear record
- Confidentiality of Grievances
All grievances are treated with complete confidentiality. The details of your complaint will only be shared internally with those directly involved in reviewing and resolving it.
We will never publicly disclose the identity of anyone who has raised a grievance, nor use that information in any way that could disadvantage you. This applies both during and after the resolution process.
Any [i-SmokeStack] team member found to have breached this confidentiality will be subject to internal disciplinary action.
- Frivolous or Malicious Complaints
We take every grievance seriously — and we ask that you do too. This process is designed in good faith, and we expect it to be used in good faith.
Complaints that are found to be deliberately false, malicious, or intended to harm [i-SmokeStack] or any individual associated with it may result in:
- Dismissal of the grievance without further action
- Suspension or termination of your engagement or program access
- Legal action in serious cases of defamation or malicious intent
We’re not trying to discourage anyone from speaking up. Genuine concerns, even uncomfortable ones, are always welcome. We’re only referring to deliberate misuse of this process.
- Grievances Involving Personal Data — Special Mention
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, you have specific rights regarding your personal data. If your grievance relates to any of the following, please flag it explicitly in your email so we can prioritize accordingly:
- A request to access the personal data we hold about you that was not fulfilled
- A request to correct inaccurate data that was not acted upon
- A request to delete your data that was not processed
- A suspected breach or unauthorized access to your personal data
- Concerns about how consent for data collection was obtained or recorded
Data-related grievances are treated with the highest priority and are reviewed directly by our Grievance Officer in compliance with the timelines prescribed under the DPDP Act, 2023.
- Record Keeping
We maintain a confidential internal log of all grievances received, including:
- Date of submission and acknowledgement
- Nature and category of the grievance
- Actions taken and by whom
- Resolution provided and date of closure
These records are retained for a minimum of 3 years and may be reviewed for internal quality improvement or in the event of a legal or regulatory inquiry.
We use aggregated, anonymised grievance data to improve our services, programs, and team culture — because every complaint is ultimately a chance to do better.
- Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated as our organization grows, as Indian law evolves, or as we find better ways to serve our community. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most current version.
Significant changes will be communicated via a notice on our website. We encourage you to review this policy periodically — it’s short, it’s clear, and it exists entirely for your benefit.
